- Work toward a fair and equitable contract for Queen Anne’s County Public Schools
employees, including addressing the ongoing contract situation affecting teachers. - Expand career and technical education (CTE) opportunities to provide students with
additional pathways to workforce training and employment. - Support arts education and programming for students from kindergarten through 12th
grade.

Responsible Growth and Housing
- Review the pace and scale of development on Kent Island and consider policies intended
to manage growth and its effects on infrastructure and quality of life. - Support efforts to increase the availability of attainable and affordable housing.
- Strengthen protections for environmentally sensitive wetlands and other fragile areas.
- Encourage cluster development where appropriate to preserve larger, continuous areas of
farmland. - Explore expansion and strengthening of Critical Area protections.
- Review the pace and scale of development on Kent Island and consider policies intended

Roads and Traffic Safety
- Address traffic congestion and road-safety concerns throughout Queen Anne’s County.
- Work with the State of Maryland to improve at-grade crossings along the U.S. 50/301
corridor. - Consider additional J-turn intersections where appropriate as a traffic-management and
safety measure.

Healthcare and Community Services
- Work with University of Maryland Medical Center and Luminis Health to attract
primary-care physicians and medical specialists who can provide services within Queen
Anne’s County. - Support efforts to restore an adult medical daycare center, providing support and respite
for families and caregivers. - Review county policies concerning healthcare benefits provided to elected officials,
including the lifetime healthcare benefits approved by the current County
Commissioners.

Fiscal Responsibility and Recreation
- Evaluate major capital projects based on their costs, long-term financial obligations,
infrastructure impacts, and community priorities. - Oppose construction of a proposed 3,000-seat baseball stadium if the project does not
meet appropriate fiscal-responsibility standards. - Explore expanding walking and biking trails, particularly throughout the upper part of
Queen Anne’s County, as an alternative recreational and quality-of-life investment.
